A Gate or B Gates – That is the Question?

It is Easter Sunday and I decided to take my daily peek at the Main Stream Media (MSM) that is the BBC here in the UK.  We have five key figures represented there who I wish to draw your attention to today.

  • UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who hails the National Health Service, saying he ‘owes his life to NHS staff’.  Leaving the hospital after spending 3 nights in intensive care.
  • Pope Francis, (Jorge Mario Bergoglio) who holds an empty Mass at the Vatican.
  • Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who praises ‘heroism’ of key workers, saying, “…we’re seeing such common spirit and an attitude to the common good…”
  • Bill Gates (Microsoft founder), who tells the BBC a vaccine is the only way to end the crisis, to save humanity, and he is racing towards this solution.
  • Jesus Christ – well, er, he was only mentioned in a joke cartoon, about an empty tomb and breaking social distancing/shelter in place rules!

So Who is your Saviour?faq-3620230_1280

Is it the NHS (or other health service)?

Is it a church religious leader?

Is it a common purpose?

Is it a vaccine from a rich “philanthropist”?

Is it the Lord Jesus Christ, via His blood shed, His life voluntarily laid down, as the Lamb of God slain for the sins of the world, and raised to life after 3 days?

Let me urge you to carefully consider which “Gate” you go through to find your saviour.  The Bible speaks of just two gate choices.  Let’s call them A and B.

“Enter by the narrow gate (A);

for wide is the gate (B) and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”   Matthew 7:13-14

Is your Saviour the Narrow A Gate, or is he the Broad B Gate(s)?

One certainly leads to everlasting life in heaven, with the mark of God, and the other may very well lead to everlasting torment in hell, with the mark of the beast!

What Season are we in this Easter?

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day.

We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”  1 Thessalonians 5: 1-11

Jesus clearly taught us to, “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”   Matthew 24:42

Many blessings to those who are watching and praying, those who are staying awake and who are sober, those of the light.
